Joy Shin specializes in residential real estate throughout Middle Tennessee. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from UCLA in 2000 and her Master of Social Work (MSW) from New Mexico State University in 2006. After moving to Nashville in 2011, Joy served for four years in the Homeless Services Division of Metro Social Services, where she developed a deep passion for serving and advocating for others. She later transitioned into real estate, blending her professional background with her desire to help clients find the perfect place to call home. Having explored every corner of Nashville and its surrounding communities, Joy brings extensive local knowledge to each client she serves. She is fluent in both English and Korean.
Joy and her husband, Stephen—a professor at Belmont University—live in Franklin, Williamson County, with their two children: a daughter who is currently a college student and a son who is a high school junior. In her free time, Joy enjoys watching her daughter cheer at Belmont basketball games and cheering on her son as he plays wide receiver on his high school football team. She is also an active member of the Nashville Korean United Methodist Church.
